The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are nearer than you think.
Woking Borough Council and its partners are already on the way to making the
Games a lasting success for its residents and businesses.
Do you want to make a difference to your life and be inspired by the Games. The
London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games is about bringing together sport and culture. So, even
if you’re not the sporty type there are plenty of ways to enrich your life with
many of the cultural events on offer.
We want the forthcoming Games to make a difference to your life and inspire you
to get involved in sport or cultural activities. Tell us what your
aspirations are by using the legacy pledge form.
Your legacy can be as simple as you like: a visit to your local gallery The
Lightbox, to get walking, swimming, cycling, dancing, learn to play an instrument,
join a sports or drama club or volunteer for a good cause or raise money for charity.
Here are some links on information on how to join in the celebrations:
The Gold Challenge is for everyone, everywhere in the UK.
Anyone can do it, irrespective of ability or fitness. Take part on your own or in a team. Choose 5, 10
or 30 Olympic or Paralympic sports and fundraise for charity. Why not try a new sport, be part of the
excitement around London 2012 and raise money for one of 120 charity partners and help those in need.
