Brookwood Cemetery

Brookwood Cemetery was first opened in 1854, and was at that time believed to be the largest cemetery in the world. Today, it is still considered to be the largest working cemetery in Western Europe. Since its opening, over 240,000 people have been laid to rest within its beautiful grounds.

The cemetery comprises approximately 220 acres of burial ground, some of which has been set aside for the use of specific communities and denominations.
