The Service on Remembrance Day, Sunday 9 November 2014, will commence at the War Memorial in Jubilee Square, Woking at 10.35am, concluding with the Two Minute Silence and laying of wreaths.

Singers from local choirs and choral groups will join together for the singing of hymns and National Anthem.

Following the conclusion of the Service at the War Memorial, uniformed units and organisations will march past the Mayor and Members of the Civic Procession in Church Street East.

Everyone is invited to attend, whether as members of service, pre-service or ex-service units, other civilian organisations or individually.

A limited number of seats will be available on request for people wishing to sit during the service. 

Any individual or organisation wishing to lay wreaths should make themselves known to the Wreath Announcer, who will be located in Jubilee Square, before the service starts approximately 10.10am in order that they can join the Wreath Laying Group in Jubilee Square.

Woking Borough Council will be supporting The Royal British Legion by observing the Two Minute Silence on Monday 11 November 2014 at 11am, in Jubilee Square. The start and finish of the Silence will be marked by a maroon salute.

Wednesday 12 November 2014

St Mary’s Centre for the Community, Byfleet, will be hosting a Remembrance Luncheon on Wednesday 12 November between, 12.15pm and 3pm, featuring a good old fashioned sing-a-long with live entertainment.

Tickets cost £8 for members, £10 non-members, with £1 from every ticket going toward the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
