Pick up our nature trail between 11am and 3pm at the Glades Carpark (off Cemetery Pales).
There will also be refreshments, information displays, and a tree walk.
Brookwood Cemetery, our beautiful Grade I listed park and garden located in the heart of Surrey, has been serving the community since 1854. With 220 acres of landscape providing a picturesque, tranquil setting for visitors 365 days of the year. The grounds are divided into many smaller plots; with roads and avenues that boast magnificent trees and offer a wealth of flora and fauna, as well as local history and heritage.
We are one of the largest cemeteries in Western Europe, rich in architecture, ecology, horticulture, and diversity. We were conceived by the London Necropolis Company in 1849, to house London’s deceased at a time when the capital was finding it difficult to accommodate its increasing population of both the living and the dead. Anyone can be buried here, irrespective of local connections or religious and cultural beliefs.
