Woking History Society is proud to be associated with the Wells in Woking Programme and deliver a Wells inspiring talk.
Reviewing Wells’ stay in Woking, focusing on his personal life, health and career as a professional writer this talk will examine what Wells did for Woking and how he changed perceptions in the wider world.
Emeritus Professor of History at Kingston University, Peter Beck, has lived in Horsell, the site of Wells’ Martian invasion, for over 40 years.
