Family watching a film outdoors

Woking Borough Council is giving residents the chance to be part of this growing trend by showing Michael Gracey’s musical masterpiece, The Greatest Showman, on Saturday 6 July in Woking Park.

This viewing experience is the concluding part of the Council’s annual Party in the Park programme, which offers families an assortment of free entertainment throughout the day. Previous screenings at Party in the Park include the original Mary Poppins, Jack Black’s School of Rock and Star Wars – The Force Awakens.

Helping you to make an occasion of it, a host of food and drink vendors can be found in the park selling popcorn, hotdogs, sodas and alcoholic beverages.

Event organiser, Riëtte Thomas, Celebrate Woking Manager at Woking Borough Council, said: “Party in the Park is a celebration of everything we know and love in Woking, and everything we’re proud of as a borough, which is why we felt The Greatest Showman was a good fit this year.

“After an actioned packed day of live music, sport and street theatre, our outdoor film brings everyone together in the Main Field for a shared experience. There’s a lovely atmosphere as people start to relax and the sun begins to set over the park.”

Party in the Party kicks off at midday with an explosive carnival parade. Enjoy a full day of free family entertainment or arrive just in time the start of the film. Opening credits roll at 6.30pm.
